We don’t know how long this journey will last or whether we’re truly cut out for this kind of life, but we do know that growth only comes when you’re willing to stretch beyond what’s comfortable. This is a true bucket list dream for us, and we’re all in—ready to embrace whatever comes next.

One of the reasons we chose this yacht was the chance to share the journey with the people we love—to have friends and family come aboard and be part of something meaningful along the way. My children wisely suggested I try renting a boat first instead of diving in, and they may be right, but there’s something in me that longs to follow my nose and see where it leads. Maybe it’s a bit like Huckleberry Finn, drifting into the unknown with curiosity and courage. As a boy, I grew up on the marsh, and those days remain some of my most treasured memories. In many ways, this feels like a return to that life—only on a much grander scale. I can’t help but think Terry (and Tracy) would be proud.

It’s hard to put into words what it has taken to get to this moment. This journey has been filled with challenges, growth, and unwavering support from some truly incredible people. Jennifer has been there from the very beginning, believing in this dream even when it felt uncertain, and giving her whole heart to it every step of the way. I could not have done this without her. Dr. Cox has stood beside me throughout, offering constant encouragement and going above and beyond to help carry this across the finish line. I’m also deeply grateful for Matt Sturdy, Bobby Dean, Don Glandt, Marty, and so many others whose support, belief, and generosity have meant more than I can ever fully express.

Our Mission
